I returned to England in 1989 having lived and worked in the West Indies. Peter and I set up Cheriton Dental Practice, which has changed over time to become a large modern practice with great staff. Nobody likes visiting the dentist and I try to base my treatment around this. I try to make visits as positive as possible and aim to minimise any discomfort, which is unavoidable.
My greatest satisfaction comes from helping nervous patients to feel comfortable and relaxed about their visits.
I'm also increasingly enjoying the improvements that can be made cosmetically with treatment such as whitening which are painless and look great.
Outside of work, my interests are mostly outdoors, I snowboard in the winter and wake board in the summer, and at an age when I should have more sense, I have started sport climbing. The main focus in my life now though is my son Jo who is a year old.
